Michel Khalaf
Michel A. Khalaf is president and chief executive officer of MetLife, Inc. (NYSE: MET), one of the world’s leading financial services companies. MetLife provides insurance, annuities, employee benefits and asset management to customers in more than 40 markets around the world and holds leading positions in the United States, Japan, Latin America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. In 2023, MetLife had approximately $67 billion in total revenues and ranks 60th on the FORTUNE 500®. Khalaf became president and CEO on May 1, 2019.
Khalaf joined MetLife in 2010 as chief executive officer of the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region when the company acquired Alico from AIG. In 2011, he joined MetLife’s Executive Leadership Team when he was named president of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region with responsibility for individual and group insurance businesses sold through agent, broker, bank and direct channels in more than 25 markets. In 2017, he added responsibility for the company’s U.S. businesses — Group Benefits, Retirement & Income Solutions and Property & Casualty — and for Global Employee Benefits, a horizontal business unit dedicated to growing employee benefits in approximately 40 markets.
In 2019, Khalaf launched MetLife’s Next Horizon strategy, which is grounded in the company’s purpose – “Always with you, building a more confident future.” MetLife delivers for its customers and communities and creates long-term value for its shareholders. Khalaf champions MetLife’s inclusive culture to bring together different perspectives for meeting rising stakeholder expectations and serving as a force for good in the world.
Khalaf is vocal about the importance of teamwork in workplace culture. When speaking about empathy and collaboration, Khalaf compares his work at MetLife to that of a team sport: “I consider myself a teammate, and I’m proud and fortunate to work with a great team at MetLife.” Khalaf’s commitment to amplifying diverse voices and collaboration drives a culture of belonging, engagement and high performance.
In Khalaf’s 21 years at Alico, he held a number of leadership roles in various markets around the world, including the Caribbean, France and Italy. In 1996, he was named the first general manager of Alico’s operation in Egypt. In 2001, he assumed the position of regional senior vice president in charge of Alico’s Life, Pension and Mutual Fund operations in Poland, Romania and the Baltics. Later, he served as deputy president and chief operating officer of Philamlife, AIG’s operating company in the Philippines. Khalaf began his career as an investment officer at Alico headquarters in Wilmington, Del.
Khalaf is a member of several boards, including the U.S.-China Business Council, the Geneva Association, and the Partnership for New York City.
Khalaf is a graduate of Syracuse University with a B.S. in engineering and an M.B.A. in finance.

Ramy Tadros
Ramy Tadros is regional president of MetLife’s U.S. Business, head of MetLife Holdings and a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team.
Tadros oversees the company’s two industry-leading businesses in the United States: Group Benefits, the largest non-medical, commercial carrier in the U.S. group insurance industry, and Retirement & Income Solutions, a market leader across all products MetLife offers in the institutional annuity and life space. MetLife’s Group Benefits business includes managed vision care company Versant Health, which was acquired during Tadros’ tenure. Tadros also leads MetLife Holdings, which contains the closed block of businesses of the company’s former U.S. Retail segment. These businesses combine to represent more than 60 percent of the overall company’s earnings.
Tadros was MetLife’s executive vice president and chief risk officer from September 2017 to April 2019. Tadros joined the company from global management consulting firm Oliver Wyman, where he advised global insurers across North America, Europe and Asia.
Tadros is a member of the board of directors of MetLife Foundation. He graduated from Harvard University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, magna cum laude.

Michael Roberts
Michael Roberts is MetLife’s chief marketing officer and a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team. In this role, Roberts leads Global Brand and Marketing with responsibility for designing modern, value-driven marketing solutions to help MetLife build remarkable and enduring customer relationships and successfully execute on its strategy.
Prior to joining MetLife in 2021, Roberts was a principal at The Vanguard Group and chief marketing officer for Vanguard’s Retail Investor Group, the company’s direct-to-consumer business. In this role, he was responsible for strategy and marketing, including product and service strategy and customer acquisition, engagement, retention and advocacy across paid, owned and earned channels.
Before joining Vanguard in 2018, Roberts was chief marketing and digital strategy officer for Bank of America Merchant Services, the third-largest merchant services business in the world at the time. In this role, he oversaw all aspects of product, pricing, marketing, technical sales, digital channels, and overall strategy for the joint venture between Bank of America and First Data.
Previously, Roberts spent four years in various marketing roles at TIAA. Prior to TIAA, he held various positions at Citigroup, AlixPartners, Capgemini, and Ernst & Young.
Roberts holds a B.A. in music from Dartmouth College and an M.M. in voice from Boston University.

Lyndon Oliver
Lyndon Oliver is regional president of MetLife Asia and a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team. In this role, he oversees a diverse mix of mature and growth markets across the region, including Japan, which is MetLife’s second-largest market and largest retail life insurance business.
Oliver served as MetLife’s treasurer from 2019 to 2022 and the company’s head of strategy from 2021 to 2022. As treasurer, he had responsibility for the strategic management of MetLife’s financial resources, including capital management, reinsurance, liquidity risk and cash management. He also managed the company’s relationships with banks and rating agencies. As head of strategy, he led the team responsible for MetLife’s global strategy to help drive top- and bottom-line financial performance.
Before rejoining MetLife in November 2019, Oliver served as AXA’s chief strategic development officer in Asia. Before AXA, he held several senior roles at MetLife from 2010 to 2018, including CFO for Asia; CFO for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region; and CFO for the Group Benefits organization in the U.S. business.
Prior to MetLife’s acquisition of AIG’s Alico in November 2010, Oliver was the CFO of AIG Life Companies in Japan and Korea. Previously, he held executive and financial management positions at The Hartford and ING Group.
Oliver serves on the MetLife Foundation’s Board of Directors and as Treasurer of the Foundation.
Oliver earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and his MBA from the University of Alabama.

John McCallion
John McCallion is executive vice president and chief financial officer, MetLife, Inc., and head of MetLife Investment Management (MIM), MetLife’s institutional investment management business. He is also a member of the Executive Leadership Team. In these roles, McCallion is responsible for all financial management matters, including financial reporting, treasury, corporate actuarial, tax, investor relations and mergers and acquisitions, and oversees MIM’s approximately $600 billion in total assets under management.
McCallion served as MetLife’s treasurer from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, he was chief financial officer of MetLife’s EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) region, based in London, from 2012 to 2016. In this role, he was responsible for all financial management matters for EMEA, including financial reporting and analysis, capital planning, pricing, actuarial, tax and risk management.
As MetLife’s head of investor relations from 2011 to 2012, McCallion managed and coordinated the presentation of the company’s financial results, messages and strategies to the analyst and investor community. He also previously served as vice president and chief financial officer of MetLife’s investments department, managing financial analysis and reporting for more than $450 billion in investments.
McCallion joined MetLife in July 2006 after spending 10 years in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ insurance audit practice, where he worked with multinational and U.S. clients in the life and property/casualty insurance industries.
McCallion earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Syracuse University, an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School, and is a certified public accountant.

Eric Clurfain
Eric Clurfain was appointed regional president of MetLife Latin America on January 1, 2021, and oversees MetLife’s businesses in six countries across the region, including Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Uruguay. MetLife is the leading life insurance company in the region by gross written premiums and includes the third and fourth largest markets for MetLife globally, with close to 8,000 employees and a diverse mix of products and distribution channels.
Clurfain joined MetLife as CEO of Turkey in 2010 through the company’s acquisition of Alico. In this role, he reshaped MetLife Turkey’s strategic direction to achieve market leadership.
He became head of Central and Eastern Europe in 2012 and was appointed head of EMEA in 2018, responsible for overseeing MetLife’s operations in more than 25 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
From February 1, 2019, until his appointment as president of the company’s Latin America region, Clurfain was CEO of MetLife Japan, the largest retail market and second-largest market for MetLife globally.
Clurfain has over two decades of insurance experience. Prior to MetLife, he held several positions in New York and South America, including as deputy head of bancassurance for AIG worldwide, with management oversight and strategy responsibilities across 60 countries. He was also CEO of global solutions for United Healthcare in New York. In addition, Clurfain held local and regional management positions with AIG in Argentina and Mexico.
Clurfain holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
